Three MSUM students, Anne Pius, Molly Strong, and Whitney Swanson were awarded Research Scholarships from the Beta Beta Beta Research Foundation. Beta Beta Beta is a national biological society with a local chapter on the MSUM campus. The three students are members of the cancer research team mentored by Mark Wallert.
Janet Haak, Director of Study Abroad, just returned from a two-week Fulbright Seminar for International Education Administrators in Germany. The group visited numerous universities in Berlin, Leipzig, and Mainz, and Haak participated in a small-group site visit to the Bauhaus University in Weimar.
Zachary Machunda of the Economics, Law, & Politics department presented “World Bank’s Misuse of Cost-Benefit Analysis of Rural Water and Sanitation Projects in Sri Lanka and Nepal” at the 51st annual meeting of the Missouri Valley Economics Association in St. Louis, MO on October 24, 2014. Dr. Machunda also served as a discussant for two papers at the conference.
Friday, November 7 from 1:00-3:30 in the Langseth auditorium, Toby Stephen from the Hanen Centre will present “It Takes Two to Talk” for students, faculty and the public free of charge. It Takes Two to Talk™ — The Hanen Program® for Parents is a well-known model of family-focused early language intervention for young children with expressive and/or receptive language disorders.
