HLC Visit April 23-25, 2017

The University has an important visit from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) scheduled for April 23-25, 2017. This is to reaffirm our accreditation status. The HLC Steering Committee—a University Committee with appointments from bargaining units and administration—has been working for over a year to prepare for this visit.

Oscar Flores and Tonya Jo Hansen, Economics, had a paper accepted for publication in the journal Regional and Sectoral Economic Studies. The paper “The Impact of Local Conditions on the Retention of College Freshman Across Regional, Public Universities in the United States” studies factors that may explain differences in retention rates across public, regional universities across the country.
