Transracial adoption topic of McGrath Writer’s Series

Jane Jeong Trenka, a writer and activist whose controversial views on transnational and transracial adoption challenge the Korean government’s adoption policies, will kickoff the spring semester Tom McGrath Visiting Writers Series. Town Hall meetings Feb. 18

President Szymanski will host campus Town Hall meetings on Thursday, February 18. The campus will be briefed on: Flood Planning (hopefully, just in case); Budget Planning Update; and Update on Changes. The same information will be presented at each of the following times: 6:30 a.m., Owens Hall 201; 10:30 a.m., Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom; 3:00 p.m., Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom. Everyone on campus is encouraged to attend a meeting convenient with their schedule.

V-Day MSUM presents The Vagina Monologues Feb. 14

V-Day Minnesota State University Moorhead 2010 will present a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. For tickets, $3 single or $5 couple, contact the MSUM Box Office, 477-2271. More than 40 women from MSUM will participate in the production. Sponsored by MSUM Theatre Arts Department/Blackfriars, the benefit hopes to raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls and raise funds for our beneficiary—the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo/Moorhead.
