Music students, faculty & staff perform with FM Symphony Orchestra

Two MSUM music students will join the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra this weekend for a concert that includes Beethoven’s Symphony #3 (the Eroica) and Cuban and Latin American music conducted by guest conductor Zenaida Romeu. The performing students are violinists Amy Boese and Erin Sorum.

MSUM is represented well in the FMSO. Permanent members include bass students Max Johnk, Matthew Miller and Eric Burgraff; concertmaster Ben Sung, cellist Elise Nelson, trumpet player Tom Strait, flutist Deb Harris, tubist Doug Neil, oboist Jennifer Peterson, clarinetist Catherine Tesch, percussionist Kenyon Williams, all music department faculty members; flutist Rebecca Sundet-Schoenwald, assistant to the dean in the College of Arts and Humanities; violinist Allison Wallace, science department faculty; and violist Diane Wolter, director of Academic Resources. The concert is Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in Festival Concert Hall on the NDSU campus. For tickets, call the FMSO at 218-233-8397.
