The MSUM Advocate brought home 36 North Dakota Professional Communicators (NDPC) Awards recently. Merrie Sue Holtan, Communication and Journalism, earned first place awards in sports writing and home writing in the North Dakota Professional Communicators’ state competition. She earned a second place in sports writing and an honorable mention in feature writing. The first place awards will move to the National Federation of Presswomen competition in Birmingham, Ala., this fall.
