Dragons in the News

Posted on September 26, 2016

Take a look at the news stories featuring MSUM in the last week.

Encouraging Diversity in the Red River Valley, KVRR: “After the UND Snapchat controversy went viral, some people are asking if schools and communities are doing enough to educate students about diversity sensitivity. NDSU and MSUM both have plenty of information online highlighting the importance of diversity on their campus.”

Former Dragon Sevlie to Play Overseas, WDAY: “One of the best players to ever play for the Dragons will continue his career overseas. Former all-conference forward Isaac Sevlie has signed with BK NH Ostrava in the Czech Republic, a team that competes in the highest level in that country.”

How College Career Counseling Can Help Students, North Dakota Today: “Many students enter college not knowing what they want to do once they graduate. Director of the Career Development Center, Troy Nellis, with MSUM shared how career counseling can help and what options there are for students.”

Election ’16: Minnesota Secretary of State Visits MSUM, KVRR: “Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon made a stop in Moorhead on his annual trip around the state. This year he’s focusing on increasing voter turnout. His first stop was at MSUM.”

Dragons Linebacker Roehrich has Sweet Hairstyles and Math Skills, Inforum: “Minnesota State Moorhead linebacker Abe Roehrich sported a unique haircut at the start of fall football camp: short on top with lines shaved in the sides and a mullet in the back. … While Roehrich has currently settled into a more traditional hairdo, his play on the gridiron still gets him noticed. The 5-foot-11, 212-pound Roehrich is tied for the team lead in tackles through three games with 26.”
