MSU Moorhead celebrates MSUM Giving Day Nov. 16

MSU Moorhead’s highly anticipated 24-hour online fundraising challenge, MSUM Giving Day, returns on Thursday, Nov. 16, uniting Dragons in a shared mission to raise essential funds for student scholarships and programs.
Throughout this day of giving, the MSUM community will come together to celebrate the spirit of MSUM Dragons, fostering a culture of gratitude and generosity. Students, faculty, and staff will distribute commemorative T-shirts, awarding MSUM Giving Day prizes and crafting heartfelt thank-you notes to donors. In a real-time display of dedication and enthusiasm, live updates will be shared on MSUM’s official Facebook page, showcasing interviews highlighting how these crucial funds will directly benefit students and vital programs.
MSUM President Tim Downs encapsulates the spirit of the event, stating, “In the heart of Minnesota State University Moorhead, magic happens every day. Our exceptional faculty and staff, alongside our diverse academic programs and enriching student experiences, ignite the flames of ambition and drive in our students. Last year, this remarkable event garnered over $440,000 thanks to the generosity of more than 1,100 donors. In 2023, MSUM’s ambitious goal is set at $500,000, and we hope to surpass this milestone, driving forward the tradition of excellence and support for our students.
