’13 Reasons Why’ We Should Talk About Suicide Panel

Wednesday, Sept. 6 | 3-4 p.m. | CMU 205

Join us for a panel discussion for Suicide Awareness Week from 3-4 p.m. in CMU 205. Using Netflix’s controversial hit series “13 Reasons Why” as a jumping off point, we’ll discuss representations of mental health and suicide in pop culture, suicide risk in marginalized communities, plus resources and strategies for prevention. Both students and professionals will speak on this issue, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Co-sponsored by: the Women’s Center, Hendrix Clinic & Counseling Center, the Hendrix Wellness Educators, and the Veterans Resource Center
