MSUM Physics & Astronomy Seminar Series Presents: The Design and Construction of an Electric Aircraft

Because of increasing problems with Climate Change all industries should consider techniques to lower their future carbon footprints. The aircraft industry is very carbon intense and must consider low carbon alternative to the internal combustion engine. Dr Jacobs with the help of MSUM students has been designing and building an electrical powered aircraft over the past year. The construction is almost complete, the electric propulsion system has been tested and we hope to have the aircraft flying by early summer. The presentation will discuss the research and design progress in this project.
