State of Minnesota’s Employee Combined Charities Campaign starts October 1st

The annual Minnesota State Employees Combined Charities Campaign begins Friday, October 1st.  It is planned and administered by state employees. During the campaign, you will have the opportunity to make a pledge to donate funds to a charity of your choice.

As a Minnesota State University Moorhead employee, you can invest in your community when you contribute. Your investment, small or large, will make a difference. You may choose to support programs that meet humanitarian needs as well as programs that aim to create lasting change. With the Combined Charities payroll deduction plan, you can pay your gift over the year, or you may choose a one-time gift.

Last year, MSUM employees contributed $57,094 most of which was designated to the United Way of Cass-Clay. Because of your generosity, Moorhead and Fargo and neighboring communities are better places to live. This year we hope to raise $63,000 on our campus.

Your investment can accomplish great things. For example, if you pledge $10.00 per pay period to the United Way of Cass-Clay, your gift could provide eight weeks of support group services to children who’ve lost a loved one; or five weeks of fuel for the Daily Bread truck; or support for the early childhood initiative, Success by 6.

MSUM’s Combined Charities Campaign team is Deb Lewi (2158), Karen Mehnert-Meland (2447), and Andrea Scott (2626).
This year’s campaign will run through the month of October. Together, we can accomplish important goals with our philanthropy. Please consider what a difference you could make!
