New light detecting and ranging websites launched

The International Water Institute has recently completed a LiDAR mapping project for the entire U.S. portion of the Red River Basin. Red River Basin residents can download and access this information at two newly developed websites through the Red River Basin Decision Information Network: www.rrbdin.org Click headline to download the Institute’s news release.

2010 annual diversity conference Aug. 11

The 2010 Regional Diversity Conference, entitled “Embracing Diversity in the Public and Private Sectors,” will be held August 11, 2010 at Knutson Campus Center & Jones Conference Center at Concordia College in Moorhead. All NDSU, MSUM, or Concordia faculty and staff may register for the conference at the discounted rate of $50 for the full day with lunch through July 31st. CEUs 0.8* will be provided. Sigma Pi Sigma inducts four MSUM students

Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics Honors Society, inducted four new MSUM members on in a ceremony including all of the Tri-College Physics Departments on April 22. The inducted students, chosen based on academic excellence and service to the community, were seniors Heather Cegla, Fenner Colson and Kristin Rosenau, and sophomore Murshid Saqlain.
