Professor Jane Bergland and seven nursing students recently returned from the ninth annual Nicaragua trip where they provided health care in rural northern Nicaragua. The team included MSUM nursing students, four pediatric residents from Hennipen County Medical Center, four emergency room residents from the University of Chicago, a dentist, faculty, and other ancillary staff. The city of Moorhead’s “Bags for Books” promotion will give students a $10 gift card to their school’s bookstore for every two hours that they bag sand. Jefferson Bus Lines has added a drop-off/pick-up location on the MSUM campus. Effective February 23, Jefferson will provide daily transportation to and from Minneapolis, stopping at the southwest entrance to the Comstock Memorial Union.
