First McGrath Visiting Writers Series of the season is Sept. 10

Jennifer Karmin has published, performed, exhibited, taught, and experimented with language across the U.S., Japan, Kenya, and Europe. Her multidisciplinary projects have been presented at festivals, artist-run spaces, and on city streets. Some of her work includes 4000 Words 4000 Dead, Revolutionary Optimism, and Utopic Monster Theory. Jennifer is the author of the text-sound epic Aaaaaaaaaaalice (Flim Forum Press, 2010), and her writing is published in the anthology I’ll Drown My Book: Conceptual Writing by Women (Les Figues Press, 2012). Jennifer teaches creative writing at Columbia College Chicago and at Truman College, where she works with immigrants. Since 2005, she has curated the Red Rover reading series.
