Honors Program students presented at National Collegiate Honors Conference in Chicago November 14

Sam Szczesny (Graphic Com) and Stefan Nelson (Math), along with Director Lisa Nawrot, also attended sessions on a variety of topics including assessment, retention, community building, pedagogy, peer tutoring, undergraduate research, FYE, and fundraising. The students particularly enjoyed the conference plenary speaker Emerson Spartz, the CEO of Chicago-based Spartz Media and the founder of MuggleNet, a Harry Potter fansite.

Women’s rugby team advances to nationals

Congratulations to MSUM’s Women’s Rugby team! After being awarded the first seed following an undefeated regular season, the women faced off against fourth seeded University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
