Please start thinking about scheduling your summer instruction sessions. Please e-mail Lori (wallacel@mnstate.edu) to schedule a session with a summer librarian. We would prefer at least a one-week notice for summer sessions.
Carol Hanson Sibley, Curriculum Librarian, has been elected to the 2013 Caldecott Committee. This committee will select the Caldecott Award Winner and honor books for picture books published in 2012. The 2013 Award marks the 75th anniversary for the Caldecott Medal, which is named after the famous British illustrator, Randolph Caldecott.
The Library is currently celebrating “Children’s Book Week” with exhibits in the Circulation Lobby and in the 2nd floor Curriculum Materials Center. Books on display are recent award books, including titles receiving the Newbery and Caldecott Medals.
