Governor’s bonding plan includes library funding

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton unveiled his bonding proposals today under the title “Getting Minnesota Back to Work.”  His “shovel-ready” projects total more than $500 million and include $14.9 million for MSU Moorhead’s Livingston Lord Library.

It’s the first volley in a process that will face scrutiny from legislators as they weigh the pros and cons of Gov. Dayton’s list– and he said he’d be willing to go as high as a $1 billion dollar bonding bill.  Last year the legislature approved funding for our library, but Governor Tim Pawlenty drew a line through it.
