Society of Physics Students recognized as Outstanding Chapter

The MSUM Chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS) was recognized as an Outstanding Chapter by the national office. This is the highest level of distinction given annually with only 10% of the chapters nationwide receiving such distinction.

This honor recognizes the work the MSUM SPS chapter does in working with their peers and the public to explain both the concepts and importance of not only physics but all science. Last year’s SPS Advisor, Dr. Steve Lindaas, noted that the Halloween Open House and Spring Demo Shows are big showcase events but the efforts in supporting their peers with homework nights and game nights are just as important.

Anyone may join the MSUM SPS group.  If you are interested please contact one of the current officers; Jacob Karsten <jacob.karsten@go.mnstate.edu>, Emily Watson <emily.watson@go.mnstate.edu>, Izzy DiOrio <isabella.diorio@go.mnstate.edu>, or Nate Rons,  <nathan.rons@my.normandale.edu>
