Staff Development Day – March 15, 2022

Dragon’s Learn:  Staff Development Day is Tuesday March 15th from 9-1 pm. Final schedule will be out shortly but offerings are listed below. Please register so we have a headcount for our lunch which is at 12 noon in the CMU Ballroom.

Resilience:  Coming out of this difficult year, it takes a communal mindset shift to approach the future strategically. In this workshop, participants will learn how to shift away from the crisis mentality of the last year and toward long-term strategic thinking and resilience.

Motivated for change: improving personal mental health and promoting balance in the working world.

This session will help you discover how to access inner calmness, seek balance in your daily life and help you and your family respond to stress. Practice relaxation techniques and gain a resource list to further your personal development.

How can Microsoft 365 help us overcome obstacles to our work?  – Brandyn Sauer, Office of Online Learning

Microsoft 365 is so much more than email! It includes over 20 tools that you could be using to work more effectively. This session will provide high level examples of multiple tools you can use immediately to persist through the difficult environment we find ourselves in. Tools include OneDrive and MS 365 Overview.

Collaboration and Organization in Microsoft 365 – Heather Schneiter, Office of Online Learning

Microsoft 365 offers many tools to increase efficiency and collaboration. Use these tools to engage your teammates in collaborative work and meet your team’s productivity and task-oriented goals. Tools include Teams, OneDrive, and Word.

Accessibility in Microsoft 365 – Cliff Smith, Office of Online Learning

The higher education digital landscape can be daunting for students and staff with disabilities to navigate. You can help eliminate digital barriers by making your documents and digital content more accessible. This session will provide an overview of these barriers and potential solutions within Microsoft 365.

For Employees Only:  Pop in to the Wellness Center for an Employees-Only experience where you can fit in your workout, try a Fitness On Demand video, shoot some hoops, walk a few laps or simply take a breather in a massage chair while you sip your coffee. Test out our new Treadmill Desk where you can come work while getting in some movement too!
