Open Enrollment Starts TODAY!!

Open Enrollment starts TODAY through November 17, 2021.

Open Enrollment is one of the only times during the year you can make changes to your employee benefits without a qualifying life event. Take time to review them so you can make the best decision for you and your family. Any changes or updates you make during this time will become effective on January 1, 2022. You will be able to make changes and updates to your benefits in Employee Self-Service during the dates of Open Enrollment only.

New & Important This Year:

  • There are no in-person Open Enrollment meetings this year. Instead, please consider watching this brief video presentation.
  • To earn $70 off your employee deductible in 2022, complete and log 300 points with Virgin Pulse by October 31, 2021. Click here to review the health and well-being incentive program resources. You may also wish to watch a video presentation for more information. Please note: the COVID-19 vaccination can be logged for 200 points and your annual flu shot can be logged for 100 points.
  • For more information about coverage and premium costs for 2022, please review the rate guide and the Open Enrollment Guide.
  • 121 Benefits was recently acquired by Benefits Resources (BRI). Starting next year, members will manage their pre-tax spending accounts (MDEA, DCEA, etc.) on the new BRI website. A new debit card will be issued in December for those making a new 2022 election. For those only having a carryover, cards will be issued mid-January 2022. Stay tuned for more information on this transition.

What’s Open?

  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Pre-Tax Spending Accounts
  • Short Term Disability
  • Long Term Disability
  • Life Insurance: Employee, Spouse, and Child
  • Manager’s Income Protection Plan (applies to Administrators & Managerial Plan employees only)

Do you have to do anything during Open Enrollment if you want to keep all your benefits the same in 2022?

  • With the exception of pre-tax flexible spending accounts, all of your current employee benefits will continue in 2022. You must make a new election for flexible spending accounts if you wish to continue in 2022.
  • Employees should review their medical Primary Care Clinic (PCC), as this impacts your out of pocket costs such as annual deductibles, office visit copays, coinsurance, etc.
    • Tip: During Open Enrollment you can’t change your primary clinic in Employee Self-Service unless you also change your health plan carrier. To only change your primary care clinic, contact your carrier directly.
  • For those who waive medical insurance benefits—please review the waiving medical insurance page to determine if action is required of you.

Please see the SEGIP Open Enrollment webpage or the attached flyer for more information.
