Meet the new Office & Administrative Specialist Principal for Academic Affairs, Michelle Baker. She is so excited to work with the faculty and staff and to meet new people around campus!

Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I’m a Dragon! I love this campus; it feels just like family. I enjoy the culture, and we have the best faculty and staff I have ever seen!
Q: What is one thing that surprised you about MSUM?
A: It’s how much work it takes to make this place run. As a student, I had no idea about what happens behind the scenes. I have found it interesting how many people do so much to keep this university functioning.
Q: What unique experience or skills do you bring to MSUM?
A: I have a unique ability to connect with people. I love working with all different kinds of people. Face-to-face contact and relationship building is where I shine.
Q: What energizes you outside of work?
A: Traveling. We travel all over the world. It’s my passion, and I love planning that next trip.
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: Turks and Caicos. The scuba diving there is phenomenal. It’s a bucket-list trip for sure!
