Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Diane Pochardt

Meet MSUM’s OAS Intermediate in Public Safety, Diane Pochardt. She is excited to work with the staff and student workers at Public Safety!

Start date: March 11, 2019

Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I have heard great things about MSUM from people that work here, retired, graduated students and current students. I have always wanted to be a part of the Dragon family. When I saw the opening in Public Safety, I knew it would be a great fit for me and MSUM. I am happy to be a part of the Dragon family. Go Dragons!

Q: What unique experiences or skills from your last job do you bring to MSUM?
A: My last position at Sanford, I worked with people of all ages. I grew fond of peoples’ needs and what they desire. You are able to find what they are going through and I love the age that I am working with.

Q: What energizes you at work?
A: Coming every day, my co-workers, my family, my boss and the people that come in. It’s just a great vibe when you come here. Everyone’s happy and wants to do a good job. It’s just a big family.

Q: What is one thing people don’t know about you?
A: I have never received a speeding ticket.

Q: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: Here! Fargo-Moorhead because my family is here. My husband, my two adult children and our 11-year-old black lab named Lida. The original plan was to move here for five years and we’re still here! Aside from the cold winters, the summers are beautiful and we enjoy our cabin at the lake!

Welcome to the #DragonFamily, Diane. We’re happy you’re here!
