MSUM hosts Naturalization Ceremony

Seventy-five new citizens welcomed to U.S. during Sept. 14 Naturalization Ceremony

In honor of Constitution Day, MSUM will host a naturalization ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. in the Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom, located at 14th Street South and 6th Avenue South. September 17 is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, commemorating the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution. 

The United States District Court, District of Minnesota, will naturalize 75 new citizens from 28 countries during the ceremony. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge William J. Fisher will preside.

University students and students from the surrounding K-12 school districts have been invited to attend. The notable event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Lot G-1, on the corner of 14th Street and 9th Avenue South.
