Student Union weekly room requests now open for 2017-18 academic year

This year we are allowing student organizations and departments to schedule rooms in the Student Union for the entire academic year. You will receive confirmation on fall ’17 dates before the end of this spring semester. We will then RE-CONFIRM your use of the room prior the start of the fall and spring semesters.

All requests must be submitted using Virtual EMS. If you are experiencing difficulties with requesting space using Virtual EMS, please stop by the Student Union & Activities Administration Office in CMU 222.

Rooms 203, 205 & 208 have a semi-permanent setup utilizing an Open Square configuration. CMU 207 has a semi-permanent setup utilizing classroom style seating. These rooms have tables on wheels which can be moved for your particular setup needs. CMU 214, 216, 218 and 225 all have conference tables in them which are not to be moved.

As set in our Student Union & Activities policies, student organizations may request up to two rooms once a week with a maximum of six reserved hours per week. If two rooms are needed, a separate request must be completed for each room. All other requests must be made on a week by week basis. Our policy allows recognized student organizations, who are not on probation according to the Office of Student Activities policies, to schedule a meeting room on a continuous basis of reasonable frequency.

Plan ahead and reserve your space now! Meeting spaces are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Use Virtual EMS to schedule your meetings and events.

All requests are considered tentative until they are confirmed by the Student Union & Activities Administration Office. Event confirmations will be emailed to the student organization officer who submitted the request as well as the organization’s advisor. Please note, only student organization officers are allowed to reserve on behalf of a student organization.

If you have any questions, or need additional information, please contact the Student Union & Activities Administration Office in CMU 222.
