SCRUBS Camp Introduces Students to Medical Field

High school students are able to explore careers in the health sciences this week as part of SCRUBS Camp, a residential camp held at MSU Moorhead. MSUM is introducing students to areas such as microbiology, nursing, speech language hearing sciences, counseling, athletic training, radiology and more.

Tuesday, students were at M State learning the intricate details of dentistry. See WDAY’s coverage of the session.

On Wednesday, students visited Ecumen Evergreens, visiting residents and introducing them to some furry friends. See KVRR’s coverage of the event.

This is just one of many interactive hands-on activities and special field trips to get them excited about careers in the health sciences. Sessions are led by healthcare professionals and/or faculty from area colleges and universities.
