MSUM Supports United Way of Cass-Clay School Supply Drive
Minnesota State University Moorhead is proud to join many Fargo-Moorhead organizations in the support of the 18th Annual School Supply Drive, sponsored by the United Way of Cass-Clay.
The School Supply Drive is an annual project that creates lasting change in the community by providing new a new backpack and a basic set of school supplies to children in Cass and Clay counties. Last year, 5,260 local students grades K-12 were equipped with a backpacks and set of school supplies. More than 500 volunteers donated a tremendous amount of supplies and time to help students in the community be confident and prepared for school.
The MSUM school supply drive will run from Tuesday, July 12 through Friday, July 29 at 12 p.m.
This year the goal is to equip over 50 percent, or 5,300 students, with the tools they need to go back to school and be ready to succeed. You can help to reach this goal by participating in the following ways:
DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Items can be dropped off in the red barrels located outside of the Office of Human Resources – OWENS 214.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
If you are interested in giving time, volunteers are needed July 26 – Aug. 9 to help pack backpacks and distribute to students. Registration will open online at www.unitedwaycassclay.org on July 12 at noon. Shifts run 9-11 a.m., 11:30-1:30 p.m., and 2-4 p.m. and accommodate 10-20 volunteers.
