Contemporary version of Eurydice takes MSUM stage

A new take on the classic Greek myth Eurydice opens Wednesday, Feb. 24, on the MSUM campus. The show runs through Saturday, Feb. 27, on the Gaede Stage in MSUM’s Roland Dille Center for the Arts. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.

This version of Eurydice, created by American playwright Sarah Ruhl, tells the story of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. The play is set in contemporary times, and features several plot twists and interesting sets.
