Dr. Julie Swaggert and Dr. Mike Coquyt (Educational Leadership) present at the Minnesota eLearning Summit
Dr. Swaggert and Dr. Coquyt presented at the University of Northwestern on July 30th. Their session was titled, “Building Community and Relationships in the Online Classroom.” Their session focused on teaching strategies and techniques online educators can use to enhance student engagement, collaboration and relationship building. Creating authentic learning experiences, personal and timely feedback, asynchronous and synchronous teaching strategies and exploration of a variety of free or inexpensive technology tools were topics included in the session. Research and student survey data was included as the basis for accepted best practice strategies
