Take Back the Night Event to take place Thursday, Sept. 19

The 2013 Take Back the Night Event will take place Thursday, Sept. 19, on the campus mall. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with a free barbecue in front of the Science Laboratory. This will be followed at 6:15 p.m. with a program that will include speakers, music, and more. Following the program, there will be a march around campus to show solidarity with victims of sexual and domestic violence. The event will conclude with a candlelight vigil.

This event is sponsored by the Women’s Center, Rainbow Dragon Center, Campus Feminist Organization, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Dragon Intertainment Group, Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Women’s and Gender Studies. In case of rain, the event will take place in the CMU.
