MSUM music professor composes for original Easter musical

Posted on March 19, 2013

Dr. Kenyon Williams, Professor of Music, will participate in the performance of an original Easter musical in Fargo this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (March 22-24) at Bethel Church in South Fargo. A project over nine months in making, the script was written by Ginger Williams, former adjunct professor of Speech at MSUM, with over 25 original compositions written by Dr. Williams alongside a team of composers. The musical, placed in a medieval setting complete with intricately choreographed sword fights and action sequences, will also include MSUM music major Michael Opp performing on a period-appropriate hurdy-gurdy as a member of the 25-piece orchestra that will accompany the music. A promo video for the musical as well as ticket purchases can be found online.
