Computer networks are the main backbone of today’s communication and data infrastructures. The advances in this field and the relative ease and availability of computer networks have in turn revolutionized many fields of human knowledge and changed the way we communicate and collaborate. As networks get more complex, efficiency becomes paramount. This presentation will introduce the basic concepts of IP networks and also discuss the very important contributions of physics to this field. Career and employment opportunities in this field will also be discussed.
