Student Organization Advisor of the Month
The Student Organization Advisory Committee is pleased to present Dr. Asoka Marasinghe with the February Student Organization Advisor of the Month Award. Marasinghe was nominated for his commitments to the Chemistry and Biochemistry Club (CBC).
As a professor for Analytical I and II chemistry, which happens to be his passion, his advice is welcome by students and he also concentrates on making the club more visible to all students and the community.
Marasinghe is involved on collaboration with a new small business that is developing a new UV light-catalyzed method of disinfecting and purifying water and continues to involve students in his research on designing efficient new photocells chemistry and developing bioanalytical techniques using electrochemistry.
