New light detecting and ranging websites launched
The International Water Institute has recently completed a LiDAR mapping project for the entire U.S. portion of the Red River Basin. Red River Basin residents can download and access this information at two newly developed websites through the Red River Basin Decision Information Network: www.rrbdin.org Click headline to download the Institute’s news release.

The Music Man showing through Friday
The Straw Hat Players will be presenting The Music Man through Friday, July 30 in the Hansen Theatre at 7:30 p.m. The Music Man is a rated G musical about a traveling con-man salesman, Professor Harold Hill, who stops in River City, Iowa, to convince the town that they desperately need a boy’s marching band. Recent death
Ruth Legg, wife of MSUM emeriti mathematics professor Milt Legg, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Milt was the chair of the mathematics department for many years (until 1993) and retired from MSUM in 1996. He and Ruth lived on Lake Vermillion, and most recently, Duluth. A service is planned for Saturday, July 31 in Virginia, Minn.
