American Cancer Society Daffodil Days Campaign at MSUM

Bring an early spring to your office and home with bright, cheery daffodils and support the work of the American Cancer Society at the same time. Order your daffodils before February 23, and they will be delivered to you the week of March 22, just in time to welcome you back from spring break.

Volunteers will deliver a bunch of 10 daffodils to you for only $10.00. Other items available are a bunch of daffodils in a vase for $15, a pot of growing daffodils for $15 or a Boyd’s Bear and a bunch of daffodils for $25.  If you wish, you could order either a Gift of Hope* or a Bear Hug* to be delivered anonymously to a cancer patient for $25.00.

A corps of volunteers from all over campus has agreed to help with the Daffodil Days Campaign.  One of them has probably already contacted you.  If not, just find any of these volunteers; she will be happy to take your order.

WHY DAFFODILS?

The bright, yellow daffodil is the American Cancer Society’s symbol of hope in the fight against cancer. Because the American Cancer Society’s daffodils are so fresh and colorful, Daffodil Days raises millions of dollars nationwide to support cancer research, education, advocacy and services. Your gift will not only brighten up your or someone else’s day, but will be used directly to support cancer control efforts in your community.

*HOW DO THE GIFT OF HOPE AND BEAR HUGS WORK?

The Gift of Hope is an anonymously given bouquet of daffodils in a vase that is delivered to an adult cancer patient. The Bear Hug is an anonymously given Boyd’ Bear that is delivered to an child with cancer.  A volunteer delivers the arrangements to cancer patients in a local hospital or cancer center on the donor’s behalf. “Gift of Hope” bouquets and Bear Hugs  are not delivered to specific patients, nor are donors’ names attached to a gift. They are truly anonymous gifts of joy!
