Speaking quite candidly about white surgical masks and being temporarily advised to leave her university, Megan Zander, a Dickinson, N.D., native and a special education major at MSUM, is recovering from her bout with H1N1, also known as the swine flu. Combined Charities Campaign Underway

We’ve had a challenging year. The economic downturn hit our campus and the Red River almost overwhelmed our community. In response, we made decisions about our finances that will guide us in the coming year and we worked together to protect our neighbors. It wasn’t easy, but it was much tougher for many families in our community. Local shelters and food pantries are dealing with a sharp increase in need. MSUM Art Exhibit Opens Sunday

An MSUM art exhibit titled “The Graphic Design Alum Salon,” featuring 40 Years of MSUM’s graphic design program, runs Oct. 4-21 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts gallery. An artists’ reception will be held Saturday, Oct. 17 from 3-5 p.m. in the gallery foyer.
