Rent, the immensely popular rock opera with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson, tells the story of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side. Featuring many memorable tunes, including “La vie Boheme” and “Seasons of Love,” Rent burst onto the scene in the late ‘90s and quickly became a classic.
