LA artist installation open to the public

lost1Los Angeles artist Karen Frimkess Wolff will complete installing her “Compliments for Nature” exhibit this week at MSUM’s Center for the Arts gallery. The installation process is open to the public through Thursday morning, Sept. 3. A free, public reception for the artist will be held Thursday, Sept. 3 from 4-6 p.m. in the gallery foyer.

The exhibit runs through Sept. 30. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by special arrangement.

Frimkess Wolff describes her work as drawings, constructions and site-specific installations, often including sound elements and frequently based on landscape forms.over-done

Frimkess Wolff earned a bachelor of arts in painting and drawing from the University of California, Los Angeles and an M.A. in art history from California State University Northridge. Her work has been exhibited throughout California, Washington state and Germany. This is her first exhibit in Minnesota.
