The Minnesota State University Moorhead football team made a big splash in its debut on the new Scheels Field on Thursday night, recording a 42-17 season-opening win over Winona State in front of a crowd of 3,818 fans.It was the Dragons’ first win over Winona State since Nov. 3, 1996, ending a 14-game losing streak against the Warriors. Come and show your support as the Dragoon seniors play for their final home game. Then afterward cheer on the Dragon men and women basketball teams as they start their season against Mayville State. The MSUM Football team is looking for volunteers to help with their silent auction bake sale this Saturday during their game. The game starts at 2 p.m. and they are looking for two people per quarter to help out. It’s a great way to volunteer and also support our football players!
