More than 900 people bellied up for the annual Chili Feed for United Way put on by Roers/Keller Williams. Along with a free-will donation, people could try 50 different types of chili made by everyone from the Killbourne Group to MSUM President Blackhurst.”

MSUM celebrates Professor Conteh and his retirement, WDAY: “An MSUM icon is being honored tonight for his contributions to higher education. Andrew Conteh has been teaching international relations and law at the university for more than 30 years.”

Gibson ties school record, leads Dragons to homecoming victory, InForum: “Minnesota State Moorhead wide receiver Damon Gibson was the model of scoring efficiency Saturday night, Oct. 8, at Alex Nemzek Stadium. Gibson caught four passes and all went for touchdowns. His performance vaulted the Dragons to a 41-12 homecoming victory against Minnesota-Crookston in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football at Scheels Field.”

Dragons induct 11 individuals, one team into sports hall of fame, InForum: “Minnesota State Moorhead is inducting 11 individuals and one team into its sports hall of fame.”

Small in stature, Dragons receiver Ambrose makes big impact, InForum: “Minnesota State Moorhead quarterback Jake Hodge was in the head coach’s office earlier this week when he tossed a playful verbal jab at wide receiver Cory Ambrose.”

Impact of immigration topic of MSUM lecture, InForum: :”Oscar Flores, a professor of economics at Minnesota State University Moorhead, will discuss the “Economic Impact of Immigration on the American Economy” during a lecture at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at King Hall, Room 110, on the MSUM campus.”

MSUM Wraps Up Homecoming Week With a Parade, KVRR: “MSUM is ending their eventful Homecoming Week with a parade. Students, faculty and staff came out to show their Dragon Pride as they joined the Homecoming Parade.”
