Meehl awarded $10,000 PCAOB scholarship

Senior Bryce Meehl, accounting major, has received a $10,000 Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) scholarship. Meehl was nominated for the prestigious PCAOB scholarship by his academic advisor, Kim Mollberg. This year, PCAOB scholarships were awarded to one student each at 332 colleges and universities, and are intended to encourage accounting students to pursue careers in audit. Sheri Erickson named to N.D. State Board of Accountancy

Sheri Erickson, professor of accounting in the Paseka School of Business, was appointed by North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to serve on the North Dakota State Board of Accountancy. The Board of Accountancy reviews CPA candidate qualifications, registers accountants each year, monitors continuing education, and addresses consumer concerns. There are five Governor-appointed board members who each serve a five-year term.
