BFA exhibit opens April 12

An MSUM student art exhibit will be on display April 12-25 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts gallery. The exhibit is in partial fulfillment of students’ bachelor of fine arts degrees. A reception for the artists will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 15 in the gallery. It’s free and open to the public. Spagammi Spaghetti Feed

On Thursday, April 15th at 5:00 PM the women of Gamma Phi Beta are hosting a spaghetti feed to raise money for our national charity, Camp Fire USA at the Gamma Phi Beta house. We would like to invite all MSUM students, faculty, and staff, as well as any persons in the community to join us.

New York Experience on display through May 15

“A New York Experience,” an exhibit featuring work created by MSUM students while on a travel study course to New York City last summer, will be on display at the Red Wing Arts Association’s Depot Gallery in Red Wing, Minn. The exhibit runs April 9 to May 15. Professor John Volk organized and led the trip. Art faculty, students have work selected for exhibitions

Department of Art & Design students and faculty have had work selected for local, national and international exhibitions recently. The students of the advanced sculpture class have submitted designs for a public art piece that will be installed outside of the Plains Art Museum for the next year. The proposals were voted on by the public and the piece will be created by the end of the semester. Click headline for more great news about our faculty and students.
