Upcoming Diversity Week events

The MSUM Student Senate has numerous events planned for the 2010 Diversity Week, including keynote speaker TJ Leyden, who will talk on “Turning from Hate” Wednesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the CMU Ballroom. After 15 years as a neo-Nazi white supremacist activist and recruiter, Tom “TJ” Leyden experienced a profound change of heart, turned away from hate and began teaching tolerance. Theatre Arts Department receives national accolades

MSUM Theatre Arts received commendations from the national selection team of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for its recent production of How Will You Know Us Now, or Anytime? The entire departmental faculty and staff were recognized for high production values in the development and support of student-written work. Additional notices went to MSUM students Joy Dolo for her performance of Janice, and Richard Paul Klein for Playwriting. Click headline to see photo.

Graphic Design students receive ADDY awards, scholarship

MSUM students majoring in graphic design have come away from the annual American Advertising Federation of North Dakota’s annual award show with Gold and Silver ADDY Awards plus the Larry Gauper Scholarship for student excellence. The judges reviewed more than 560 entries this year and awarded Gold and Silver ADDY Awards to only the best and most creative advertising in North Dakota. Alex Ehlen from Fargo won two gold, one silver, and the Larry Gauper Scholarship. Sarah Clark of Fargo won one gold and silver awards.

Walk the Dragon

The week of April 12-16, students, faculty, staff, alumni and the general public can participate in walking a six-site route throughout campus—WALK THE DRAGON! After stopping at the designated areas and receiving an official stamp, the route form is turned into the Bookstore. For each completed route the Bookstore will donate $3 toward Athletics – up to $5000! Click headline for more information.
