NDSU, MSUM Study Examines Coaches’ First Aid Skills

A new study by NDSU and MSUM researchers has taken a close look at how well coaches are trained for emergency situations. Sudden cardiac death is a leading cause of death among amateur and recreational athletes and has been linked to the lack of bystander intervention. So, the critical question is: Do coaches know how to give proper emergency aid? 

Terrie Manno Presents Papers in Scotland

Terrie Manno (SPA Music Department) presented two papers at the International Society of Music Education conference in Glasgow, Scotland. Her recent work on the neurological processes of learning and performing music resulted in a presentation with Dr. Michael Dean (Oklahoma Baptist University) titled Strengthening Mental Focus.
