This is a reminder for those of you who intend to teach a course online Spring semester, either D2L or Moodle, but have not yet submitted your course request. The semester is quickly passing by and Instructional Technology Services would like to create your course as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the process of requesting courses, please reply to this email or call 477-2135.
D2L will be unavailable during the Friday night reserved downtime from 10PM Fri Nov 6 until 10AM Sat Nov 7. During this downtime we will take 8.4.1 into production. This release will fix a number of outstanding issues in our current version of D2L. Please plan your usage of D2L around this downtime.

Instructional Technology is offering a series on implementation of Desire2Learn, one of the course management systems that MSUM supports. Desire2Learn (D2L) is an instructional management system. It provides a collection of tools that are useful for classroom-based courses, hybrid-delivered courses, and online courses. Your students can access the course via a web browser from anywhere in the world.
The “Design of Online Instruction” workshop series is limited to 6 participants, with the series starting July 21. In order to be eligible for course development funding from MSUM’s Distance Education Fee, participation in this 3-part series of workshops is required.
