Dr. Theresa Hest, Communication Studies, will present a Dean’s Lecture from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Thursday, March 4 in MacLean 181. Her topic is “What is the role of storytelling in a marriage?” Based on data collected from 177 married couples, this presentation will explore the forms of marital stories, the functions of these stories, and the key role of storytelling in relational maintenance. The event is free and open to the public.
Jefferson Bus Lines has added a drop-off/pick-up location on the MSUM campus. Effective February 23, Jefferson will provide daily transportation to and from Minneapolis, stopping at the southwest entrance to the Comstock Memorial Union. MSU Moorhead is hosting a birthday party for Dragon mascot Scorch that is a fundraiser for the YWCA of Cass Clay and the Dorothy Day House. The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6 in Nemzek Hall. It features inflatable games, face painting and other entertainment. Donations of food, toiletries, clothing and household items are being accepted.
