Paul Harris, History, gave a paper entitlted “An African American Looks at African Customs: Alexander Camphor’s Missionary Story-Sketches and Folk-Lore from Africa” at this summer’s meeting of Yale-Edinburgh Group on the History of the Missionary Movement and Non-Western Christianity. The conference was held in July at the Yale Divinity School.
Raymond Rea, Film Studies, had his film “Straightboy Lessons” screened over the summer at Festival IdentiT, an international film festival in Paris, France. The film tells the story of a Female to Male Transsexual at the beginning of gender transition who seeks advice from a non-trans friend.
