Economic Society attends 2020 Minnesota Economic Association Conference

Economic Society members, Alexander Peterson and Bradon Schlaefer, and Co-Advisor Dr. T. J. Hansen attended the Minnesota Economic Association Conference virtually on October 23, 2020. Dr. Lisa D. Cook, Michigan State University, delivered the keynote address, “Violence and Economic Activity: Evidence from African American Patents, 1870-1940,” and highlighted ongoing implications on economic growth and standards of living in the U.S.

ND Heritage Center hosts an exhibit based on ‘The Prairie Post Office’ book

The Prairie Post Office: Enlarging the Common Life in Rural North Dakota (2017, NDSU Press), by authors Amy Phillips (formerly Social Work) and Steven Bolduc (Economics), and photographer Wayne Gudmundson (Communications, retired), continues to garner interest.
