Wellness Educators win award for WALKtober event

Hendrix Health Center Wellness Educators (WE) won the BACCHUS Region 4 Outstanding Program for their WALKtober event. BACCHUS is a network of more than 32,000 student leaders and advisors who work with over eight million peers on more than 900 campuses throughout the world. Region 4 consists of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. This year’s WE’s are Jennifer Florian, Sam Gritzmacher, Stephanie Hansen, Onana Omwodo Shaun Rosario, Casey Wangen, Macailia Warner and Caroline Bauman.

Free H1N1 Clinic

Campus WW meeting Jan. 19

An Open House Meeting for the Weight Watchers At Work program will be held on Tuesday, January 19 at 4:30 p.m. in the Hendrix Health Center. Staff, students and faculty are welcome. No registration fee is charged; a three-part payment is available and all major credit cards are honored. Free HIV Testing

There will be FREE HIV testing sponsored by Hendrix Wellness Educators and the Rural AIDS Action Network on Wednesday Dec 2nd from 10am-3pm (while supplies last) in CMU rooms 203 & 205. The free testing is for all MSUM students, staff and faculty. The test is an oral swab — NO BLOOD DRAW. If you have questions please contact Lynn Peterson at Hendix 477-2211.

WALKtober Challenge

The WALKtober Challenge has come to an end with great participation!! 451 people signed up for the event! The three lucky winners who walked 10,000+ steps, more than four times during week 4 are Sara Bossany, Brianna Ford and LaRae McGillivra. The GRAND prize drawing massage winners for walking 10,000+ steps 4x a week for 4 weeks are Deb Radke, Madison Brantner and Abby Klang. Congratulations to all of you! Thanks to everyone who stuck it out till the end in the WALKtober Challenge!
