Public relations students succeed at national competition

Three teams of MSUM students involved in the Public Relations Student Society of America’s national Batemen Case Study competition placed in the final finish, receiving honorable mentions. Most schools enter one or two teams, but MSUM entered four, all under the direction of Professor Liz Conmy, who uses the Bateman Case Study campaign as a capstone project.

MSUM advertising students took first place at AAF District 8 National Student Advertising Competition

MSUM advertising students in the capstone class, “Advertising Campaigns,” taught by Jody Mattern, took home first place at this weekend’s American Advertising Federation District 8 National Student Advertising Competition. The team accepted an advertising challenge for Pizza Hut in August with the goal of increasing online ordering at pizzahut.com by 75 percent. MSUM’s campaign slogan is, “Delivering Bold Ideas.”
