National Federation of Presswomen honors MSUM professor with national awards

Spring 2017 semester advising begins Monday, Oct. 3.
Friday, Sept. 23 | 1-5 p.m. | Downtown Fargo We have two or three spaces on our Dragon Business Crawl being held this Friday, Sept. 23, from 1-5 p.m. in downtown Fargo. We will visit Prairie Den (with a speaker from Eide Bailly), Absolute Marketing, Myriad Mobile, Super Studio, and US Bank.
Merrie Sue Holtan, communication and journalism, won two national writing awards from the National Federation of Presswomen. She placed first in sports writing and received honorable mention in home writing. The awards were presented at the national conference in Wichita, Kan.
Dr. Anthony Ocaña, assistant professor of communication studies in the School of Communication and Journalism, has had his eBook “Clashing Wor(l)ds: From International to Intrapersonal Conflict” published by Inter-Disciplinary Press.
