Community Outreach Looking for Faculty, Student Volunteers

On Friday, Nov. 4 there will be 120 8th graders on campus from Detroit Lakes, Minn. These students will be on campus all day taking part in a range of activities (Planetarium Show, Lunch in Kise and engaging in Faculty/College Student panels).

Volunteers are needed for Major Specific Faculty and College Student panels/activities. Panels are at 11 a.m., 11:40 a.m., and 12:20 p.m. This group has students with specific majors of interest, so please review the need below. If you are willing and able to help out at the panel that corresponds with your major please email Shireen Alemadi (alemadsh@mnstate.edu) no later than Friday, Oct. 28. 

If you have an interactive short activity please share that information as well (it should be about 10 minutes long).

  • 11 a.m. – Need faculty and/or students from the following areas: Criminal Justice and Speech Language Hearing Sciences
  • 11:40 a.m. – Need faculty and/or students from the following areas: Business and Finance
  • 12:20 p.m. – Need faculty and/or student from the following areas: Mass Communications, Film, Graphic Communications, Broadcasting, and Music Industry
